How can I build a website ?

On other computers, my website does not look exactly the same.

Depending on the operating system (windows, linux, mac) and on the browser (firefox, internet explorer 6, 7, opera, safari...), the websites do not appear the exact same way, especially the texts.  The fonts are displayed bigger or smaller, creating different return carriage. This is the reason why, we advice you to use the options "Add Scrollbar" and "Resize Block" of the Text Block, which allow to always display your text.

How to insert a link in my website ?

You can add links to your website with the text block .

1. Click on the text block you want to insert a link on.
2. Click on the pen to go to text edit mode .
3. Select the text on which you want to insert a link.
4. Click on the insert link button as shown in the picture.
   
5. In the window displayed enter the url or select a page of your website or send a document.

How to insert a PDF, Word, Powerpoint,... for download on my website ?

To add a document check the How to insert a link in my website question above. At step 5, click on Choose a document. You can now send a file and choose it to create the download link.

How to add a sound background on my website ?

To add an ambient music on your website, you just have to add a music block (available with the premium package).

You have two possibilities:

• Add the block on the background page and ckeck the Autostart option. This will start the music at first page load and it will play during all the website visit.
• Add the block on your choosen page and check the Autostart and uncheck Pause on page change. This will start the sound when loading this page and then keep the sound playing while visitors browse your website.

NB: The autostart behaviour is voluntary disabled when you edit your website.

I would like to add subpages in my website

You can easily add subpages on your website. Those will appear in submenus. Use the right and left blue arrows.

Menublock ca be configured to let appear only a part of subpages.

I built a free website, can I use the Premium Package now?

Yes. You can change whenever you want the package of your website for a better package.
On the page "My websites", you can find a button next to your site snapshot reading "Upgrade!". Click on it. A window pops up allowing you to choose another package, and then a domain name for your website (if you want to, you can keep your current domain name).
Once your payment is validated, you will have access to all the benefits of the Premium Package: more blocks, more pages for your site, detailled statistics...
